Does the CM come before or after you O?

I got my smiley on Sunday morning, July 4th. Then I noticed CM on Monday, July 5th.

Does that mean I O'd on July 5th?

DH and I BD'd on July 4th evening and the night before the smiley and 2 nights before that. Then he had to leave to go to a study session in preparation for his boards this week. DH won't be back home until after his exam on Thursday.

I was a bit upset that DH left. DH said if he doesn't pass these boards, he won't be able to support me and a new baby.

OPKs predict a surge so you will most likely O within 24-36 hrs after the smiley. CM is usually a day or so before. You definitely could have O'd on the 5th! Good Luck!

It still could have stuck if you BD before you O'd, the spermies will already be up there waiting for the egg!

You usually O after you see EWCM -- can be next day or even up to a few days later

I think CM is around right before you O but honestly I've seen it after!
