Low Temp after AF?
Morning ladies!!! I'm a little confused and I know I can count on you ladies to help me.
So, AF showed up on 6/24 and left on 6/27. It is really rare for me to have it for such a short time. Also, I have been really nauseus the past couple of days and have thrown up (sorry TMI). I started taking my temp on Sunday and it read 97.92 and today it was 96.86.
Is it normal for my temp to drop that low after AF?

Re: Low Temp after AF?
I don't know about 'normal' but my temps are really low in the 96. something range after AF and before O. So yes it is possible to have low BBT.

Re: Low Temp after AF?
my temps have dropped after AF. Today it was 96.85. I think it's also because my AC was on.

Re: Low Temp after AF?
Thanks for responding ladies. I think I need to start reading the directions more closely. It says to take temp as soon as you wake up. But I woke up, took a shower, ate and then took my temp. Doh!

That would explain it!
Temping ONLY works when you use your basal body temperature - the "base" temperature. This is your body temp after 3 or more hours of sleep when it's totally at rest and doing minimal work (breathing, digesting, etc.). Anything you do, even walking across the room to turn off your alarm clock, can change your temperature. To be able to compare your temps and have it mean anything, they have to be taken at the same time of day, right after you wake up, before you get out of bed.
I make poor DH get up and turn off the alarm clock 7 days a week at 5:30 in the morning, even on Saturdays and Sundays. Gotta love him.
