Re: Can I freeze strawberries?
How funny I just emailed my friend this same question about blueberries. I am sure you can freeze them but wondering after defrosting will they be mushy?

You won't really be able to defrost them though for eating. So I usually freeze them and then throw them in shakes.

Re: Can I freeze strawberries?
I freeze them and then use them as a topping for ice cream. Wash and hull them, dry them on a paper towel. Put them on a wax paper lined baking sheet in the freezer, and freeze until frozen. Then you can put them into a plastic bag. This way you will have individually frozen berries instead of a lump.
Works for all berries.

Re: Can I freeze strawberries?
I just saw this on Good eats , You have to freeze them with dry ice for them to defrost like fresh berries. If you freeze them in a freezer they take to long to freeze and they get soft and gooey! HTH
