Only 2 Follies for me...
I've been so upset since yesterday that I even skipped work to day and stayed home feeling miserable.... I went ot Dr B for my sono to check how many follies I have and there are only 2  After all the meds I've been taking I only made 2 follies and only God knows what the quality is... Dr B was dissapointed also (which of course made my misery even worse) he said he was hoping for 3 or 4....   I was ready to give up yesterday...I'm sick and tired of all these damn shots... I'm doing now 3 shots per day on my stomach and all I can produce is 2 lousy follies? He said that the meds that I' taking are considered intermediate in terms of how aggressive we are being, but the next strength is usually prescribed for women undergoing IVF  This sounds like if we up the IUs next cycle to that of a an IVF cycle I'll only produce 3 or 4 follies if I'm lucky where other women get about 10??? And at some point he said something like "This one is a resistant ovary"  I feel so depressed.... I honestly didn't expect this to happen...I thought that this would be the cycle  But I guess that would have been just to good to be true huh?  I'm going back on Thursday for a sono, depending how that goes the IUI will be on Friday and Saturday... I am so not looking forward to it anymore

For what its worth, the most I ever produced for any of my IUI cycles was two and that ONLY happened 1 time
( out of 8 IUI cycles I had total)...My DS was from a cycle with only one dominant follicle ...It seems cliche, but it really only does take one...Try to keep your chin up

i know it is hard to stay postive but you have to remember it is an improvement from last cycle and there are soooooo many girls on here that got their BFP with only one follie.
So if you have 2 that is great! I am really feeling this cycle is the one for you!

I'm sorry that it's happening to you. It is really hard to be going through this process and to hear that every other person is producing over 10 follicles. For my past 2 cycles, I was under LOTS of injections and only resulted in a few follicles.
1st IVF - 400 iu of gonal f that produced 5 follies
2nd IVF - 250 gonal f +lupron in the am and 250 menopur and lupron in the PM that only produced 3 possible 4 follies.
You need a day to just be by yourself and let the anger, frustration and feeling out of your body. Tomorrow when you wake up, just face it like a brand new day! You can do it and you will get there. I've read so many studies and stories where women get pregnant even with 1 embryo transfer!

I'm so sorry I know it's not easy but like the other girls said, try and stay positive. It only take sone egg and one sperm!

I only had one follie this cycle. Two were growing at first, but then one stopped at 13mm. I was so disappointed, and sure this cycle was a bust.
However, it seems I got a BFP today. So it really does take just one.

All it takes is ONE!  I had a cycle with FOUR cycles and got a BFN So, more follies doesn't necessarily = BFP ....... If it's going to happen, it will happen with 1 ... 2... 4... you get the idea! Just try to stay positive!!

I'm sorry.. Keep your chin up.. I am sure that they medicate you differently in ivf. I never had any meds with my iui's. I am sure it will happen for you.. Just give it time.

Everyone is right, its the quality not quantity...i had a cycle with 4 mature follies and bfn, you are not out ! Try to keep positive ...i know i know a lot easier said than done

don't be too disappointed. they do say it only takes one egg and one sperm. 2 follies is better than none at all. Chin up stay positive and who knows this might be your month.
I know its easier said than done but lots of times, a positive attitude helps ur outcome.

Hang in there, if they need to add meds, it might help. I produced very little on Gonal F, unti they added Menopur, then they started popping up.
