Bow Window window treatments
Hello all~
Well my lovely DH installed a brand new Bow window in the front of my house this weekend. I am SOOOO excited. The windows that we had before had been installed before we moved in, and they were all cracked, seals compromised, and screens broken. Because of this I never had the shades or windows opened in my living room. It was kind of like living in a cave with no light.
ANYWHOO....I am very excited that I now have the windows and I have ordered custom pleated shades for them...I was just wondering...does anyone else have bow or bay windows and would you be willing to show me your window treatments? I am going to install the shades so I can control the light coming in better (because the light comes in the front of the house almost all day) but I would also like to do a curtain or sheer around the window as well and I am having a hard time finding inspiration photos online.
TIA...will update with photos when I go home for lunch!

Re: Bow Window window treatments
Def. do a search on the Home Board. There are lots of ladies with these kind of windows.
Here is my Bow window in the LR. These are different pics from different times of the year. So some different looks for you to see. I have pleated shades. One thing I found really good to help with the sun all day long is insulated drapes. You can close them half way & it stays cooler in that room. It doesn't help 100% but it does help. HTH!
Red for winter
slate blue for spring/summer
burnt orange with one sage scarf for Fall

Close up
These are two scarfs with the shades only.
HTH!

Re: Bow Window window treatments
Thanks ladies!! I really appreciate it! I will def search this board, thanks for the suggestion. Both of your living rooms are so pretty...my house is still pretty much torn apart since my husband does all the work himself (which I really appreciate) and he is only available on weekends. I can't wait to get my shades tomorrow. Will try and clean up a little post pics when I get them
