Abdominal Exercises

So I know we have pretty much exhausted the whole "exercise while ttc" thing but I'm wondering if any of you have been advised AGAINST any sort of abdominal workout and why?

I exercise regularly but its pretty much cardio. I've noticed that I'm getting a little "soft" in the middle and I wanted to try to put a little more focus on my abdominal muscles but I'm about to enter the 2WW and I don't want to mess anything up. I'm so torn as to what to do. I'm determined to have a fit pregnancy but I'm terrified I might do something wrong.

I heard you can do ab exercise way into your pregnancy..theres a point where the doc says to stop i think 12 weeks so I wouldnt stop!

My OB said it was fine to continue my regular exercise routine, including ab work, into my second trimester. So I can't imagine there's anything wrong with it while TTC, just like the PP said.

Exercise is supposed to be very good when you're PG as long as you're continuing a routine you had before and not starting anew.

Ive read in a lot of holistic books to lay off the ab workouts in order to increase fertility - im sure there are many different schools of thought on this.

My dr said it was fine. I continued with my normal fitness routine while we were TTC and continue to do so now (although less strenuous)

I feel like ive been neglecting my abs as well. I think after reading this I will start up with them again, but I will probably scale it down a little bit)
