How expensive is it to install these?

I am not too sure on the expense for the metal ones that go over, but I know those are the only ones that are worth getting. The plastic inserts, over time blow off.
Gutter cleaning however, from a company is pretty cheap. And it's only done twice a year =).

We had the gutter co install really nice metal ones, screwed on. Cost about $300 but it was well worth it.

we did a screen and it was $100 it does keep stuff out of the gutters but you still have to go up and sweep across it with a broom when its really bad. The upside is usually when the wind picks up it sweeps itself.

DON"T DO IT.
We have them and the birds build nests in them constantly, we have tried to put netting to block them from getting in and they pull it out.

Ours have been on for years, never had any problems whatsoever. Randi, I will try to take pics from my upstairs window to show you what they look like.
I can't see how the birds can do this. There is no spaces between any of ours. How are the birds doing this?
