WWYD... re: frozen embyos
Hey girls!
Some of the older people here might remember me, but for the new people...
We did a fresh IVF cycle and got 12 embryos. We transferred 2 (BFN) and froze 10.
For our first FET, we thawed 3, they all survived & were transferred. BFN also.
We got pregnant from our second FET. We had to thaw 5 to get the 3 to transfer. We became pregnant with twins, but lost one at 9 weeks. So basically it took 10 embryos to get ONE live baby.
Now, we have 2 frozen embryos (blasts).
We are moving back to NY (we currently live in San Diego). We just had the baby 6 months ago and I am still BFing so we are not going to do the FET before we move.
Here comes the WWYD.
Would you fly back to California for an FET (knowing that it's possible that none of the embryos will survive the thaw, meaning money wasted on flight/hotel, etc.) We'd do the rest in NY and just fly back for the actual transfer.
or
Would you transport the embryos back to NY? (knowing that this could be detrimental to their survival rate, which obviously isn't great to begin with)
or
Are there any other options? If so, I'd be happy to hear and consider them.

Hmmmm....that is such a hard decision to make. What method would be used for transport? Is it a specific carrier or would it be say FedEx?

OK heres a question... are you covered for another IVF cycle? Reason I ask is, IF you decide to transport the embies and they don't make it, would a second IVF cycle be an option for you?
