Eatery I can bring a baby to near Citifield (Flushing)
either a pub, pizza place with tables or greek food.
Must have parking and be able to accommodate a stroller/baby.
Need to do an early lunch (Noon-ish) on Father's Day. Just me, DH and DS.
(We have citifield tour tickets)
Thanks!

Tony's on 104th street in corona is yummy. THey have booths in the front where its more casual or a restaurant in the back. Have fun at the game!

Re: Eatery I can bring a baby to near Citifield (Flushing)
Right in the general vicinity of CitiField is going to be tough. In that case, could you go to one of the places actually IN the stadium?
Otherwise, Francis Lewis Blvd in Flushing/Bayside has a couple of places: Kati Allo is Greek and is around 29th Ave (Holy Cross HS vicinity); right over there too is a new brick oven pizza place called Naple. Further south on Francis Lewis is 57s All American Grill which is a cute "50s" diner type place.
In Bay Terrace shopping center in Bayside (Bell Blvd/26th Ave) is Applebees, Tony Romas, 5 Guys, Outback, Bens, and a Panera. Of couse, there are a bunch of casual places in the "heart" of Bell Blvd...including an Unos. Sullivan's and Monahan's are good for what you're looking for too...both those are right off of Bell and are "pub" type places.

My recommendations are also in Bayside, I'm not too familiar with right around the stadium.
I was going to recommend Kati Allo for greek food as well or Primo Amore for Italian. There are quite a few options on Francis Lewis Blvd., though not that close to the stadium, they are at least sort of on the way. Bell Blvd. has great food too.
Not sure if you'd want a diner, but there are a couple on Northern Blvd. right off the Clearview Expressway is the Bayside Diner. Again not right near stadium, but on the way.
Oh and there is the Palace Diner on Main St. in Flushing on the corner of Main and the West bound LIE Service Rd.

What about Park Side Restaurant in Corona? Is this too fancy for kids? (I've never been, but every one raves).
107-01 Corona Ave Corona, NY 11368
(108th St. & 51st Ave.)

Not so sure how far you want to travel- but we used to love Cascarinos in Whitestone- 154th and 10th (please no one tell me it's closed- I will get back there one of these days!) They have parking and very good Italian food.

Re: Eatery I can bring a baby to near Citifield (Flushing)
Thanks guys. There's no game that day (actually, the mets are in the bronx playing the yanks!) - its just the 1hr tour. Because it's just a tour, the food stands @ the park won't be functioning.
I've decided to stop somewhere on the way into queens, THEN go to the stadium. I've managed to keep this a surprise for a while, DH almost caught me today! my recent google searches almost cost me a surprise!

They just opened a McFadden's (like the one in NYC) right next to the park! Irish pub type food/atmosphere! Open year round and supposedly huge! I've been to the one in NYC many many times and love it..I cannot wait to try the one near citifield!

I also recommend Bayside or Whitestone. It is @ an 8 minute drive to the Citifield and you will have many more options

That's good to know about McFadden's! I actually thought it was IN CitiField.
And yes, Cascarino still exists! In fact, they opened up one on Bell as well maybe a year ago?

Cascarino just opened a Farmingdale location! It's right by my office - right on Main st.

Let me know how it is....I did hear it will be open even in the off season. SO I am assuming this means non-game days during the season as well
