Can I ask you why you used bioreference lab and not Reprosource?

Re: Lab work at BioReference in PLainveiw
for me with dr. b i used bioreference for the thrombophilia panel and reprosource was for the immune panel.
my insurance covered all of the tests for the thrombosis panel, except 1 - they said it "wasnt proven for treatment of my condition." when i told dr. b that he said that it hasnt been proven because not that many doctors run it, and the ones that do are so busy with patients that they dont have time to write in the medical journals about it. he also said that if he sent a letter to the insurance company explaining why it is relevant, they wouldnt understand what he was saying because the people at the ins. company that review these cases are ob/gyn who dont have the background of RE's, especially ones that specialize in immune issues.
for the immune panel i had to pay $450 out of pocket to reprosource. they said they will submit it to my insurance company and if its covered i will get my money reimbursed. if its not covered i will not have to pay any more than $450 even though they bill the insurance company like $1900.
anyway thats amazing that he said they wont charge you for it. dr. b is the greatest

Dr. B sent me to bioreference for the thrombophilia panel too. I just got a bill from them today and the total was for close to $900 but my insurance paid all but $116.
I was going to call Dr. B's office before paying to find out if anything can be done.

I think he said if the insurance pays some you pay the rest, i could be wrong, dont pay without calling him

Ah...I only did he immune testing with him and the thrombophilia with Cornell. Though i know Dr. B does more with that panel too. Didn't realize reprosource didn't do that one too.
I saw that my insurance paid reprosource and I'm still waiting to see if I get my money back. Gotta call them Monday.
