Need sneaker recs
I just started back up at the gym and my Sketchers are just not cutting it. Can anyone recommend a great walking / running sneaker??

I totally agree, I just bought a pair of Asics and they are the best running shoes I have ever owned!

The best thing you can do is go to a store that specializes in running. They'll have you get on a treadmill so they can see how you walk/run and give you the best sneaker to meet your needs! It depends on the level of arch support, the way your feet turn as you walk, etc.
I went to Road Runner (in California) but they have an online website as well! You can try to do it online...
I ended up with Mizunos

ITA. There's a store like that in Farmingdale, I think it's called Runner's Edge.
