To Test or Not to Test

Thursday is DH and I's 3 year wedding anniversary and I will be 10dpo. I really want to test on Thursday morning because I think it would be the most wonderful anniversary present ever to finally get that BFP, but I know it will be so dissapointing if it is negative. Should I test? What do you ladies think? We are both very hopeful about this month since we just got back from a long vacation in the carribean where we were both finally very relaxed, and had lots of time for Chat Icon (sorry if TMI).

Re: To Test or Not to Test

There's a pretty high chance that even if you are PG you'll get a BFN that soon, so I don't want you to be disappointed and despondent your whole anniversary day when it could just be too early...

I know the feeling... I tested the morning of my 31st birthday back in April because it's something I wanted so badly, and I was heartbroken even though AF was already 13 days late... turns out it was just a crazy long month and almost a month later to the day without an appearance from AF, the good news came.

It's a really personal decision for you, and more than anything I want you to be happy!!! If you decide to test, try to not put too much faith in the results.

Wishing you the best anniversary ever and lots of Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon !

Ditto. You don't want to "ruin" your anniversary if you test and it is negative. 10DPO is VERY early. I have never tested positive that early and I am expecting my second child in the fall.

Re: To Test or Not to Test

I know how you feel. I will be 12 DPO on DH and my anniversary and will be 15 DPO on Fathers Day. Either day would be a great day to tell DH. I probably will test on 12DPO and if BFN and no AF by 15 DPO will test again.

With my last pregnancy, I got a BFN on 10 DPO and then BFP on 14 DPO but that was with a digital so it is very possible I might have gotten on earlier.

Truth is I am just very impatient Chat Icon
