Brown spotting at CD17-21?

Is this normal? I've been getting this for at least a year now. I had light pink spotting at CD14 with pain (probably O'd). Then around CD17 I have dark brown spotting when I wipe (sorry TMI ) then at CD22 there was some dark red too. I have a regular 28/29 day cycle.

Anyone have this? What could it be? I'm going to the doctor soon and he is sending me for an HSG and sonos and bloodwork so I will ask him more about it then.

From what I understand this is somewhat common, and usually a sign of low levels of progesterone. This happens to me, though maybe not as early as CD 17, but usually the week before AF arrives, and I have a normally 28 day cycle too, give or take a day. You can always ask your dr. when you see him, but I also had bleeding about 2 years ago midway through the cycle with burning pain, they did a sono on me, and didn't see anything wrong with me, and their answer was pretty much tantamount to sometimes weird shiz just happens. I know it's not helpful, but this is what I was told, and my dr. didn't seem to think there was much cause for worry.

I get pink and brown spotting and discharge about a week before AF arrives. I am not sure if it is 'normal' but I wanted to let you know that you are not alone. I have just started seeing a RE I will let you know if he gives me anymore info on it.

I had spotting mid cycle and it turned out I had polyps. While it could be nothing don't ignore it cause I did for 2 years
