What is everyone doing to get their body baby ready?

I know I've asked this before (I think when I first came on the boards over the winter)........but it's always a valuable topic and we can learn alot from each other

Let's discuss! What are you doing to prepare your body and your future baby for pregnancy?

nothing!!!!!!!

I am going about my daily routine which is somewhat healthy minus all the wine.

I am not one to get crazy about TTC I figure it will happen one of these days

Re: What is everyone doing to get their body baby ready?

Here's what I've done/or doing:

1) taking prenatals since Jan 1 (started TTC late April/early May)
2) cut down to 1 serving of caffeine/day
3) totally kicked my diet soda habit! Now I have like 1 a week (if that).
4)Consciously eating more veggies, fruits, whole grains
5)TRYING to eliminate high fructose corn syrup and any other fake sugars/sugar substitutes
6)Go to gym twice a week (I need to increase it to 3 though, I've been lazy)
7)Went brunette-the mixed studies of hair dye/processing are pretty inconclusive..DH feels strongly about this.
8)Getting 8 hours of sleep a night
9)Eliminating stress (or trying to)
10)No alcohol during O or 2WW (I've never been a drinker, at most I have like 2-3 glasses of wine a week)
11)Drinking a ton of water

I've always been a healthy eater-I feel like now I'm just more conscious about it than I was before.

Re: What is everyone doing to get their body baby ready?

Since we've started TTC I have completely cut out diet soda. I never really had any caffine so that wasn't an issue. I also started taking pre-natals. I cut out fast food, although every once in awhile we do get it, I think in the last 3 months maybe twice.

I try to get to the gym but I just can't get motivated. I'll go a few times for a week and then not go for a month, it's bad!

I've always drank a ton of water so I just keep doing that.

Prenatals.

And no more alcohol (except for the occasional glass of wine). I'm trying to get on the treadmill, but for some reason something always comes up. Chat Icon

My husband actually brought it up originally. He feels really strongly about it.
I've googled hair dye + pregnancy and it seems like there's a variety of answers out there. Some say not to do it at all, some say after 1st tri, some say it's no big deal.
Once we're PG I'll ask my OBGYN what he thinks. In the meantime I'm having a blast as a brunette Chat Icon

Re: What is everyone doing to get their body baby ready?

I am starting to take prenatal vitamins, if for nothing else just to have more vitamins, and since I've been married I've been trying to eat healthier (not as many processed foods, whole grains, vegetables, fruits, natural, organic, no preservatives, etc.), and I've been doing some light exercising as well. Just trying to be more healthy in general. I'm not a soda drinker, but I am a coffee drinker, but I only drink one cup a day, rarely twice and usually the second cup is decaf in the evening, and I only drink alcohol in social settings so not very often.

I've been taking vitamins and sticking with my workouts. I'll take any motivation I can get to get my butt to the gym! I've also been trying to keep up with my regular doctor appointments.
