Still no AF....

So I mentioned last week how I still haven't gotten AF but also took NUMEROUS tests and everything is always negative. I called my doctor today to tell him that I've been having light cramping and a yellowish-discharge (sorry for the tmi), also I get an upset stomach after I eat anything. He told me to just keeping taking tests once a week or until I get AF. He told me its very common not to find out till 2-3months!!! That a lot of women just don't get enough of the hormone till then. Or I could just get AF in another few weeks.

Has anyone had this experience?? Any advice? I'm going crazy over here. Dh and I are not trying and this would definitely be quite the surprise.

My cousin was in your shoes...she took numerous preg tests and they were all negative even after a month it was was still neg. and AF was no where to be found. She had a feeling she was pregnant. She finally went to the Dr. and they checked her blood and confirmed she was pregnant. She took every test in the book, I found it to be very strange but now she is 16 weeks.

If your doctor won't do a blood test, I'd find one that will. If you're starting to have symptoms, the hormone would show up in your blood work!

Do you have a GP that can at least order the beta while you find a new obgyn?

wait...I'm confused...how could u only be 3 weeks if you missed pd more than or up to a week ago??

ETA: I was just about due for AF when I got got a BFP and was 4 weeks and that was pretty much earliest it could be detected (minus a few days)

Sorry for the confusion....So my last period was on April 18th, my doctor just did some basic math and said let's say I ovulated 14 days later on the 2nd of May, then I would be about 3 weeks pregnant when I went last week.

I had a similar situation in April. I was on the pill, went off in Sept, got AF in late Nov and got her each month until April. So I kept on testing once a week until I called my Dr. Told her I was TTC and this was our first month trying and havent gotten AF yet. She said give it some more time before getting concerned. I was regular ever since Nov why would i be off now??? I had a 59 day cycle and finally got AF.

She told me I may have skipped since I was going through a stressful time the month before (lost my grandma and had to cut a vacation short and fly home and make arrangements) or it could have been just that my body skipped for whatever reason. I was a little annoyed that she didnt suggest bloodwork but I didnt have any symptoms of pregnancy so I just wrote it off that I was late...which it turned out to be. I was not preggers

If you feel like something is just not right and you are still testing negative, it couldnt hurt to go get a blood test. Talk to your GP if your OB/GYN wont do it.

That doctor is insane! If you're pregnant you will get a BFP WAAAAAAAAAYYYYYY before 2-3 months. Good lord, your beta doubles every 24-36 hours and since some HPT's can detect a BFP with a hcG level of as little as 15 there is NO way you wouldn't get a BFP if you were pregnant. I cannot believe your doctor isn't doing a beta to see what's going on with you. Seriously, get a new doctor.

My last period started on 3/4. On 4/10 I was having a ton of symptoms, from nausea to back pain and I found a breast lump, so I went to the doctor and had a BT on 4/12. It was negative. So the doc just said the lump was probably because AF was coming...

For the first two months this year, my cycle was 34 days (unbelievably regular for me) but in the past two years since going off the pill I've been everywhere from 85 days to 54 days to 28 days, varying from cycle to cycle. So I kept on counting in my calendar.

On 4/26 just before we left for a 10 day trip to Ireland, I thought AF was starting (you know how you just kinda have a little sign and you figure "oh") so I packed all my supplies and off we went...

Only when we got back 10 days later, still no AF. So I took a HPT on 5/10 and it was positive.

Turns out I probably conceived on 4/16. LMP 3/4 -- hard to believe.

Sometimes every chart and book and story you hear just doesn't apply to you.

I'm 8 w 4 d now (and sick as a dog).

It's so so hard to be patient, but just keep on waiting. I was on day 67 when I got my BFP. Some months I didn't even get my P until day 85 so I was pretty shocked (and delighted of course).

I hope this helps inspire some people.

That happened to me. I took 2 or three tests all negative. Then 2 days later, I went to the doctor for a test and... preggo!!!

You never know.

I cannot understand why your doctor didn't suggest that you come in for a blood test
