Ovulation

How many days after the last day of your period are you supposed to be ovulating?

Re: Ovulation

It depends on your cycle. The first day of your cycle begins the day you get AF. So if you got AF today, today would be CD 1. If you have a 28 day cycle, they say you should O around CD 14.

Ok so if you have a 5 day period, you should O approx 9 days later.

Again, all this depends on your cycle

Re: Ovulation

Everyone O's at different times. Even those with a 28 day cycle can O earlier or later than CD14.

ITA. If and when I O it is usaually around CD18 - CD20 and my LP is 12 days making my cycles 30-32 days long. I wish there was a hard fast rule for O'ing.

Re: Ovulation

Honestly, there is no "supposed to be" for ovulation. You can ovulate on day 8 of your cycle and get pregnant or you can ovulate on day 58 of your cycle and get pregnant. Lots of different things determine when you are going to ovulate, including what your body's 'regular' cycle is, hormone levels, stress, traveling, being sick, not sleeping enough, etc.

The best thing you can do is temp and use OPKs to determine if and when you are ovulating to give yourself the best chance at timing Chat Icon correctly.

Hope this helps! Chat Icon
