push mower vs electric?
We don't have a lot of grass on our new property..... Besides the obvious environmental pro of the push mower, what are pros/cons to each?
With a push mower are you going to have to go over the same spot 4 times and have it take more time? Or is one pass over the area enough to do the trick? That is what DH is concerned about.
If you have a preference, recommend yours :)
Also, if you have one for sale that you're no longer in need of, we'd be happy to take it off your hands than buy a new one :)

Re: push mower vs electric?
I contemplated between which one to get last year. For me, though, after reading about each type, it was obvious that I wanted an electric. I definitely don't cut the grass every weekend. I wait until it gets long, then cut it. Yeah, yeah, it's not good for the grass, but it's better for me...
If the grass is too tall, the push mower has a hard time with it. With the electric mower, it's just as powerful as most gas mowers, so I have no problem cutting down any height grass.
I also have solar panels, so I don't mind using electricity, since I'm making most of it myself anyway....
I have the Black and Decker
I went with the corded version so I have full power the entire time I'm using it, and I don't have to worry about keeping a battery charged.

Re: push mower vs electric?
Definitely electric. We bought a push mower and returned it. We had to go over the same piece of property 5x's to get all of the grass.

Re: push mower vs electric?
I have a big back yard and I wanted something that was easy to use, and I ended up buying a used Push mower from a LIF member. I have to say I am extremely happy with my purchase. The worst time I had to cut the lawn was when I did it the first time about a month ago. The grass was very long and it took me a few times to go over a couple of long spots, but now that I mow it every week 1 time does the trick for me and it is also really good excersize. Scott
