Need help with # of trays of food for outdoor party
How many trays of food should I order? I have almost 80 def adults & children. There could also be a few more since everyone has not RSVP yet. I am also going to have a hero (different kinds) and salads.

I had 60 people (including 14 kids) for my dads retirement party that I planned. We had 7 full trays of food (we did a lot of half trays, but it totalled 7). 1 tray of caesar salad, a platter of olives and a basket of bread. There was leftovers.
I would say no more than 10 especially since you are having a hero and other salads.

Did you try asking the place you are getting the food catered from? They usually make good suggestions.

I would say for 80 adults you would definitely need at least 3 pastas, maybe even 4 if you don't mind having some leftover (maybe), 3 or 4 meats, like maybe 3 chicken and 1 saus&pepp or something, and 1 eggplant! That's just me. I'd rather order too much and have leftovers then run out and look like an idiot and cheap person!

That's what we did too and it worked out perfectly. We actually had a lot more than 14 kids so I think one of the trays was actually a full tray of chicken nuggets.
