Re: What kind of box mac and cheese is ok?
honestly i think the "cheese sauce" they all use is really fattening.
If anything you may want to just get some whole wheat pasta and boil it and then in a separate pot cook some skim milk with a tablespoon of flour and some smart balance or ican't believe its not butter or something and throw in a couple slices of fat free american cheese orfat free or low fat chedder/jack (or both )
i know it SOUNDS like alot of work but its really not as bad as you think and it comes out SUPER yummy!

It so easy to make from scratch. I would stay away from the processed stuff. You can make it with low fat milk and cheese and it will taste way better than the box.

This is how I make my mac and cheese. I use whole wheat pasta, skim milk and low fat cheese. I input this recipe into WW and it was still like 9 points per serving.

Re: What kind of box mac and cheese is ok?
wow, I didn't even think it would be as high as 9 points, I guess FF cheese and milk with make it lower, I hardly ever have 9 points left for dinner

When I input the recipe I put 8 oz of pasta and made it 4 servings. Maybe I use too much cheese (3/4-1 cup). But I like to make mac and cheese as a side, and with the amount of points it was, I'd have to consider just that the meal.

Re: What kind of box mac and cheese is ok?
yea holy crap- if that's 9 points that's a little nuts...Idk if I necessarily agree with that though...how could 2oz using lowfat/FF cheese and skim milk be 400-450 calories...
sometimes life isn't fair!

Re: What kind of box mac and cheese is ok?
My DS is allergic to dairy so I make him these 123's and Chreese. There's actually no cheese in it and only 1g of fat. It doesn't taste exactly like Kraft mac n cheese, but it's not bad. I think it would be about 5 points per cup.

Fiber Gourmet makes one too that you can purchase through Amazon. I haven't tried this particular product, but I have tried the regular pasta and the cheese crackers and both of them are good.
3 points per serving

Re: What kind of box mac and cheese is ok?
none of the box kind really, unless you only want a 1/4 cup or so.
Do you have WW log in? They have some great MnC recipes on their site.
Both Lean Cuisine and Smart Ones make a MnC too.

Re: What kind of box mac and cheese is ok?
I use Annie's...its organic so its a bit better. As long as you only have one serving I think its 6-7 WW pts? I have it with a FF hot dog for a "junk food dinner" that's only 7-8 pts. I feel like I splurged and ate crap but it wasn't all that bad.
