how long to close usually?

we have been in contract on a house since march- we have been approved for a mortgage and our broker put in a 15 day lock in on a rate almost 3 weeks ago which is about to expire since we are hearing NOTHING from the other side... we call our lawyer practically every day who responds "Still nothing yet.." and its getting frustrating !! whats concerning me is we are getting married june 12th so i wanted to close before then, since we will be practically gone the entire rest of the month on our HM and the tax credit deadline to close is june 30th...

how long did it take you to close from contract? just want to get ideas if it normally takes a few months..

Re: how long to close usually?

Once we got the clear from the bank we closed within a few days.

It was probably about 2 months from contract to closing.

It took us about a month from the time the contract was signed to the time of the closing but we had some deal with Chase where all our paperwork was processed last year so I think the closing moved faster than most.
