You wont get a mortgage without insurance. What is wrong with the electrical? The oil tank isn't an issue cause we have insurance with the underground tank......our insurance agent never even asked about electrical

It's just an old electrical system its has a fuse box which needs to be upraged to the newer system. Guess I need to start making a ton of phone calls...

i'm sorry i've heard you can also get better rates if you combine your insurances....car & home...may not solve the issue, but good to keep in mind.

Double check with your broker, they will write the policy but they do not cover in ground oil tanks. The funny thing is we didnt know this either until we were shopping around and another broker told us. Then I called my broker and pressed them, they looked into it and confirmed that it is true.

I was told by an electrician and insurance that there is nothing wrong with having a fuse box. Is someone telling you this?
