I just gotta say...
that the house shopping diet is the best way to drop a few pounds!
Oy.... the stress.
I cannot even begin to get into my situation, but basically we made a follow up offer this AM they couldn't refuse. But they have accepted another offer just last night, after spending the day negotiating with us and making us jump through hoops. They are giving them a very short turnaround time to make things happen because they don't feel right about reneging. If the other potential buyers stall, or something happens-- it's ours. We'll know in 24 to 48 hours. We gotta have this house!
Please everyone pray/keep fingers crossed/kneel to the almighty house gods that we get this house!! It doesn't look good since they have someone, but things can always change-- and our offer is air tight.
If I knew what I knew 24 hours ago-- this would be a different post-- a much happier one!

I am usually a pretty good-hearted person, but I really hope something goes wrong with this person's deal!
In the end, I know if we get the house-- we have nice sellers because they already gave one person their word. They have been screwed over many times before-- and they just want the deal done. 20 hours ago, they thought the other buyer was the best candidate, now we are. It's a tough spot. But, I just hope we get it. I am trying to be hopeful, but realistic.

Randi, I hate to be a pessimist but could this all be a game to make you jump through hoops?
I am a leery person, don't trust anyone, esp after buying my first home and the games that went on.

I don't think so-- there is more background that I don't want to post. There would be absolutely no reason for them to not take our offer at this point if that's all they wanted. I have been told they have been screwed a few times in the proess with non qualifief buyers, and they just want to get the deal done. We can provide that, but they feel they need to honor their word of accepting this other offer over ours initially. But, they are basically not giving them any leeway- and if there is any delay, we are ready to come in and finish the deal.
