WW questions

Can you just eat anything or do you need to buy special meals/snack bars/etc?

Do you need to cook only WW recipes??

How do you figure out points for the things you cook at home?

I'm sure I could find my points for my breakfast and lunch because they're really easy, but what about dinners that I make? There are so many ingredients! I've tried to do that "spark people" recipe calorie calculator and it takes me FOREVER!

Re: WW questions

You can totally eat/cook anything...just have to calculate the points. I know there are online tools to show you how many points certain foods and meals are. It def takes planning ahead but you do that every week!! Chat Icon I was on it a long time ago though!!Chat Icon

Re: WW questions

You can eat anything you want, as long as you calculate the points and factor it into your daily points.

So, no special meals or recipes. There are a ton of WW recipes you can use since the points are calculated for you, but you can cook anything you want as long as you add up the points.

Points are based on fat, fiber and calories (you look up each of these and it tells you how many points the item is).

Your daily points is determined by your weight and level of activity.

I cook a lot and you just get to know how many points items are. It's a lot of looking up at first but after a while you know-especially of you are cooking recipes a second or 3rd time (I do this, I like to cook and freeze meals in general, now that I am doing WW it helps even more so).

If you aren't cooking a recipe, you have to look up the items individually-the WW books tell you how many points certain items are-there is a book you can by that just gives you lists and lists of foods.

Re: WW questions

I've used the WW website etools. You plug in all your ingredients +the servings and it calculates what the points per serving are. I have tons of my own recipes saved on there.
