Re: Please Recommend Your Toilet

We put the Kohler Wellworth toilets in our bathrooms when we renovated. Our plumber recommended that brand and model - he said he never has problems with them; never has to go back and repair them.

We went with the comfort height. It's a bit taller than the usual and it's been great when my back is bothering me - easier than the low toilets. But we don't have any toilet-training kids. If you do, you might want to take that into consideration. I also read somewhere that if you're toilet training the elongated models are easier for boys (more room to aim) and the round bowls are better for girls (less open area to fall in I guess).

We have two Totos and a Kohler. They're both good but the Totos are much better.

We have this one and a Kohler Portrait as well. I would recommend getting them from a plumbing supply because the interior parts are much better then what HD or Lowes would carry Chat Icon

Yea the guy at the shop recommended that we get the oblong ones...more comfortable for the guys. I dont have any DC yet but thats something definitely to take into consideration with the height. I was going to go with the comfort height too.

Where did you get toilet from?

See I used to think that a toilet was just a toilet, but with the piece of cr@p toilet we have in our other bathroom it just does not get everything down...its a fairly newer toilet too. This is why I wanna get a better toilet for our other bathroom. We will replace the other one soon hopefully!

Oh and DH used the bathroom at a showroom last week and they had a Toto and after DH came out hes like, "Oh man we are getting a Toto" I just dont know if they are worth the price KWIM?

We got ours from Sayville Plumbing. They are off Montauk, near Bayport (in fact, I think the address is Bayport) - near the car wash. They are a plumbing supply house, no showroom. I think they may be moving - I saw a building closer to Sayville that had their truck in front yesterday and today and it looks like the interior is being renovated.

Re: Please Recommend Your Toilet

After researching...we went with Toto. Definitely worth it. The lower profile ones (more contemporary looking) are even better.
