Those with irregular AF please come in!

Ok so I have always been a bit irregular when I was younger but I was on the pill for about 5 years and I was regular on the pill.

I came off the pill in Sept and got AF in Nov and have had a regular 31-32 day cycle since...up until April.

So we started TTC in March and OF COURSE I am thrown off and dont get my AF on 4/1 like I was supposed to...we thought we could be preggo but after a bunch of BFN, AF showed up on 4/29.

Anyway now I am off on my cycle so how do i know when I am going to O? I am not temping (tried and just couldnt do it right). Should I just pay attention to CM and do it that way or should I invest in ovulation tests and just POAS like every day?

Or should I just forget about all the charting and alot?

What do my fellow irregular ladies do???? Im so confused and I hate that my body is off bc I am such an organized person. AF is killing me!

We've have similar cycles.. I also came off BCP by choice in Sept. Ever since I've been with irregular cycles

I finally got AF 4/27 after 4 months of not seeing her. Hopefully this month is different. I'm going by the the 14 - 20 CD window and going to be every other day. Lets see if this month we strike. I will try this month and next month. Lets see if Brooke was right.

My period is never regular it can be anywhere from 30 days to 42 days. It is very annoying! What I usually do is start testing on CD14 with OPK's and take it from there. If I have no double line at all on cd14 i usualy wait a couple of days and test again, if i still have no line i test a day or so later again and wait till I see the 2nd line appear( I also do watch for EWCM and absolutly test when I see that) Once I get the double line I test everyday until I get my 2 lines that are identical. That usually lasts 2-3 days and then by the 4th day the 2nd line has stared to fade and I know my LH surge is over. In the past few months Ive O'd on cd17 then on cd28 then on cd17 again. Ive only been doing it a few months so I dont know if the pattern will continue like this or not? Hope this makes sense and helps.

Ive never been regular and never took BC. AF came on march 27th and before that i was January 31st so DH and I every other day and I use opk everyday I use the 20 day ones. I got a BFP on the 28th 29th and 30th so we for those days and one insurance day. No AF yet but who knows

My AF has never been regular so I am temping and using OPK to pinpoint the exact dtae of my O. I would recommend that for you b/c ur O date can change from month to month.

Thanks for all the suggestions.

I have been tracking on MyMonthyCycle and I have 5 AF's tracked in there. Because of being off last month, it tells me my average cycle is 39 days and that I should O around May 24. But I am afraid last month might have been a fluke and I am just a little off.

Maybe I will go back to temping. Can I start it now or is it better to start on CD1? I am CD9

If you're irregular, you can use temping/charting as a guide as well as opks.
