Ok, I think I'm going to get in trouble tonight.
So, I'm supposed to go to a family party for JT's side of the family today. It's a bar-b-q for his cousin's daughter's one year birthday. So, since NONE of them came to my baby shower last weekend because they were at yet ANOTHER bar-b-q for their family, and JT is working and I'd have to go alone, AND I do not want to see or talk to his mother at this point, I called to cancel. I told them "I wasn't feeling well today." Hey, I only have a few more weeks of pregnancy left, and I plan to use them to my advantage. Well, JT will be upset that I am not going, but to make it even worse, I have a sh-tload of errands to run today, including going to buybuyBaby in Huntington, which I plan on doing, so I can't even lie to him and tell him that I wasn't feeling up to going out because I AM going out.
So I'm going to be in big trouble with him tonight. He's going to be really upset. But to be honest, I am not ready to see his family right now.

Hey has no reason to be upset..he knows how badly his family..especially his mother hurt you last week. A baby shower for your first child only comes once...BBQ's can be whenever. I think you are 100% justified in cancelling. And if they have a problem with it...too bad!!!!

See, I figure I'm already ahead of the game because I actually called his cousin to let her know I can't come. Unlike some people on HIS side of the family
We had a big talk the other night about how hurt I am by his mother, and whether or not he agrees with it, he needs to understand I am NOT able to be near her right now.

You said it all right here. He has absolutely no reason to be angry with you. If you did go we would all be telling you we thought you were nuts

Well, he called me before when I was out and about and I didn't answer the phone. I will tell him when he gets home from work that I didn't go. However, I did get the baby a gift and put it in the mail already, so I cleared my guilty conscience of that. And I got the last few things I needed for the baby, so I am happy.

I wouldnt go. If you need an excuse, you have a perfect one ...you're really pregnant and not feeling well. No one is gonna argue with a PG lady when she says she doesn't feel well!

Ok, he called, and while I didn't lie, I omitted the small detail that I hung out with you. Shame on me, but I told him where I went and what I did, I just didn't tell him I did it with you
