Insomnia

Hi Ladies...
This isn't really Parenting related, but I've been having really bad insomnia lately...like I'm lucky if I get 2-3 hours of sleep a night!
My precious daughter sleeps well, she's down from about 9 till about 6ish, then I'll feed her & she'll snooze a bit more, so that's obviously not the problem (knock on wood!)
I have tried meditation, breathing techniques, counting sheep (yes, I really didChat Icon , I was desperate), last night I was so desperate I resorted to taking a Vicodin leftover from my C/S (I never took them b/c I BF). That didn't even help, it just relaxed me a bitChat Icon .
I seriously cannot function w/o my sleep, and the more I lie in bed awake, the more stressed I get that I can't go to sleep, the longer I stay awake!!!Chat Icon
Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do/take (I'd rather not take the pill route, but at this point I'll try just about anythingChat Icon ).
TIA.
Please keep your fingers crossed I get some sleep tonight!!!Chat Icon

Re: Insomnia

Did you try getting a massage? Maybe that would help you to relax a bit. I would go see your Dr. if it doesn't get better.Do you FEEL stressed out? Go talk to Dr. Wagner about it maybe it's some PP still? He's so easy to talk to.Chat Icon

Re: Insomnia

I'm sorry, I know its so hard when you cant sleep! When I have trouble sleeping I tay Nyquil or Tylenol PM and I make sure I go to bed within 20 mins, if I stay up too long it seems to have the reverse effect on me. But, they do help me sleep. Other times I will drink a glass of red wine and that makes me tired enough to sleep.
