PCOS question
So ladies up to this point I've been resistent to temping but I've been reading .... as we know with PCOS you can get a false + OPK since its just detecting LH surge, which doesn't garantee ovulation. (am I right so far?) Now from what I'm reading the elevated temps are due to a progesterone surge which only happens after ovulation right? So theoretically this should work for us PCOers to see if we're ovulating right? I just need someone to assure me that this is the case before I take on the task of temping, I'm afraid its going to stress me out and poor DH is gonna get dizzy fron rolling his eyes, TIA

Re: PCOS question
I'm not sure if this answers your question... but I have PCOS and learned from temping that I was not ovulating. My temps were all over the place and never went or stayed elevated.
Sorry, that's the best I could do here!

Re: PCOS question
you are correct. temping is the only way to confirm ovulation has occurred. it does work if you have PCOS. the temp shift is unrelated to the other haywire hormones that PCOS causes, and most women see a clear shift after O. i know it stresses some people out - but i find it immensely helpful!! it's also how i found out i wasnt ovulating and being dx with PCOS. OPKs dont really work for me cause i have high LH so i got a lot of false +'s that did not result in ovulation. good luck!
