Re: Pasta Side Dish
A little olive oil or butter and a handful of freshly grated Reggiano is fantastic on freshly boiled pasta.
Or sautee some onion and garlic, add some zucchini and eggplant and maybe some mushrooms, throw in some freshly chopped tomatoes, salt, pepper, lemon and basil.. and cook down a bit. Throw in the drained pasta with a freshly sliced roasted bell pepper and Voila.. veggie pasta side dish.

Re: Pasta Side Dish
I love a simple garlic, oil, s&p and LOTS of peccorino
You could do the above with lemon also.
Creamy sauces that come to mind are alfredo, carbonara...
clam sauce is yummy, but depends what your main dish is.
You can also do a marsala and mushroom sauce

Re: Pasta Side Dish
white clam sauce is easy. I also like a smaller pasta (like little shells) tossed with peas, onion, garlic and freshly grated cheese.

Re: Pasta Side Dish
I saute turkey sausage meat (take it out of the casing) or you can use regular sausage. Then some veggies- frozen or fresh, any kind YOU like add it to pasta with oil and garlic, salt & pepper (whatever seasonings you like) top it off with lots of Parmesan cheese. Sometimes I add in some fresh peeled tomatoes.
You can change it up and it's soo yummy! If you use the turkey sausage and whole wheat pasta, it's pretty healthy too!
