Vitamins...
I was talking to a friend today... and she was shocked DS hadnt been put on vitamins yet...
He will be 8 months on the 30th.... and is now formula fed...
At what age did your little on start them?

I got the same repsonse from several people. I asked the doctor and he told me formula fed babies don't need it unless they have an iron deficiency.

We just got the rx last night at her 6 month check up.
The ped said it was mostly for flouride.

I never did vitamins with any of my kids, and I just used Dannon's flouride water to mix their food or for them to drink out of their sippys.

I breastfeed, but my doctor recommended vitamins at 1 month. Jordy loves them.

I asked the Dr at 7 months and they gave me an RX for them.
ETA: we do not have fluoride in our water, but he drinks bottled anyway.

With Gabriella, I EBF and no vitamins. Gianni gets a little formula and BF and no vitamins.
I think it just depends on the Dr. Mine says they really aren't necessary unless they have poor eating habits.

My Ped never gave me them either and at this last visit I asked again my DD last visit and he said it was ok to give her an over the counter multi vitaman my DD is gonna be 21 months so I started her on the flinstone vitamins and she loves them
