Cleaning Lady Protocol

My cleaning lady of 2 yrs seems to have broked my favorite Willow Tree figurine todayChat Icon

I know this stuff happens, but I am still bummed.

What happens- do they offer to pay for it or replace it or just chalk it up to bad luck?Chat Icon

I am so new to all this and apologize if this is a lame question. TIA!

Chat Icon I'm sorry Chat Icon

Did she tell you she broke it or you found it?

If she told you and its not an expensive piece or it can be replaced easily- I would let it go

If she hid it or its very expensive, I would ask her to pay

Re: Cleaning Lady Protocol

She left it on my kitchen counter (had been in living room).

I was thinking to let it go. Still sad because I really liked it. Oh well......Chat Icon

Thanks ladiesChat Icon

if it was an accident, i would let it go. unfortunately things happen. you've had her for 2 years and apparently she's never ruined anything else.

Re: Cleaning Lady Protocol

My cleaning lady can be clumsy sometimes. Anything really expensive or of sentimental value gets put in a cabinet. We have never made her pay for anything but we have told her to be careful of specific items. MIL uses the same woman and she packs many things away and just has the cleaning lady dust the shelves that they were on.
