Re: The Colony in Holbrook

My parents lived there for years and I lived with them for a short period of time......I can answer just about any question and if I cant Ill ask them.

It was so nice and quiet there. When I first moved back in with them I couldn't sleep cause it was so quiet.....i was used to city noise.

I grew up in Holbrook and have had friends over the years that lived in there. The layouts of the condos are really nice and they have a lot of space. Neighborhood is great, gated so its private. Clubhouse has a gym, etc.

My Aunt and Uncle live there its beautiful. I thought it was a Senior develpment but that throught could be due to the fact that the only people I know there are seniors.Chat Icon

The street my parents lived on were older people but there is a section that had lots of young families with kids.

I cant speak on the schools but as far as safety with the kids playing in the neighborhood I'm not sure you can get any better.....There are speed bumps everywhere so there aren't cars speeding by.

Really? I would think that it would be a nice place to have children. Not sure if there are not as many kids there as there used to be, because my bus would go through there and there were quite a few kids.

Are there young families that live there? Everyone seems to say it was primarily for a retired age group however now theres been a big turn around and there are younger families moving in. Is this the case?

Not sure anymore. When my sister was going to high school she had friends who lived in there and I have worked with people who lived in there with parents (in their 20's).
