Hi ladies! I'm new here but I have been on the TTC board for about 10 months now. I just wanted to introduce myself and give a little backgorund before I started posting!
DH and I have been actively TTC for 6 months. I have been charting and temping and using OPK's. 3 months in I realized that I was not ovulating on my own. I went to my gyno who prescribed clomid and was on that for 3 months. I know I really shouldn't have been on clomid without being monitored but initially I was uninformed about the topic. While the clomid did make me ovulate all 3 months I did not get pregnant. I decided not to even bother going back to my gyno and opted to go straight to an RE.
I contacted East Coast Fertility and have my first appointment May 3rd with Dr. Zapantis (SP?). I'm excited and hopeful but also scared at the same time. Unfortunately our insurance does not cover anything fertility related so we will be paying for everything out of pocket, I think that is where a lot of the anxiety is coming from!
Well, if you got this far thanks for reading! I look forward to getting to know you ladies!
And just a warning, I have a lot of questions! Feel free to tell me to shove a sock in it at any point!
... can't exactly say I'm glad to see you on "this" side but it's always nice to know another face!!
I think you will find that once you go to your first appointment and get questions answered and a protocol going you will feel this euphoric 'I'm going to get pregnnant' rush!! Hopefully we'll both be moving on soon!!!!!!!!!!!
Welcome...hope your stay here is short and sweet. This board (and ladies) are an excellent source of information and support, you are in good hands. Good Luck this month!!
Hi Christina! Welcome to this board. I'm glad that you decided to move on to a RE. At least you are one step closer to getting that BFP. Definitely feel free to ask ANYTHING you want. I'm fairly new as well and the ladies on this board are sooooo good with responding to questions. You'll see a lot of stupid questions that I've asked in the past. I hope your stay is short and sweet!!! Good luck!

welcome! whatever path you need to take to a BFP - chances are SOMEONE on this board (past or present) has been there done that so its a great resource. everyone here is super supportive and understands what you are/will be going through both physically and emotionally so its a great support system.
all that being said - hope you (and I for that matter) are not here very long!

Thanks so much, I hope we'll both be off to the pregnancy board sooner than later!
