Phone call from National Grid
Anyone else get this? Apparently due to gas deregulation our bill will be going down 10%  . I smell a scam, especially since the caller ID showed a Washington state area code. I asked the woman what the catch was, and she said there was no catch.
They will also be crediting the sales tax for the delivery portion of the gas?

did you give them any info? we got a call from national grid about our bill..ummm we have oil and don't use national grid for anything! So def something's going on

I haven't rcvd a call, I would think they would send a notice in the mail if this were happening, and it would have prob been in the paper too, I would report the number.

I wouldn't give them any info. I told the woman to call back after 6 - she called at like 6:05, except the caller id showed a different company name & number! And, they have my maiden name, which makes zero sense, since I have been married for almost 7 years and never, ever had a National grid account in my maiden name!
I searched National Grid's website and couldn't find anything. Their company was supposedly Titan gas, but their caller id showed something totally different both times.

I got a VM as well (we screen calls we don't recognize). I was wary about the call, too, so I didn't call back.
So, it sounds like it's a company that is allowed to supply our gas, and is calling to see if we want to use them?

same here...they didn't say they were national grid but authorized or something...not too sure sounds kinda shady

probably similar to a letter I received last week.. from General Heat, we used to use them when we had oil. They said that we can get our gas from them, but would still be billed and delivered by keyspan? I dont know it was odd and I just ripped it up.
