What A Disappointment The New DENNY'S Was...
I have to say, I would never go back. The pancakes tasted like batter, the hash browns were awful,etc. Additionally, the service was SOOO slow, especially if you have a baby:) You'd think they'd try to "rush it".
Nothing compares to I-Hop for breakfast, I'm sorry

When I lived Upstate, we'd go to Denny's often. But it wasn't a new thing there so they were good.
DH and I rarely go to IHOP because of the wait. When we do go out for breakfast, nothing beats a good diner breakfast.
All the ones near us are good too because they are never croweded and so fast.

Yeah I went to Denny's last summer upstate & didn't care for it much. I love IHOP though.

Agreed! DH went there last week and were disapointed. The hash browns weren't cooked, it took forever and it wasn't busy, the waitress was terrible, we never saw her and they wouldn't take our coupon, lol. I don't think we will be going back anytime soon.

I haven't been to a Denny's in years and will prob not go to the new one for while because I live far from it and I have heard the place is still very unorganized.
DH and I love Ihop. We will go there about once a month. We both don't like diners.
What I would really love to open up on LI is Cracker Barrel!!

OMG me too. I went upstate once and it was so awful. I live right near the one they just opened and it is always packed. I don't understand it.

That's disappointing. DH and I go to one in CT on our way to the casinos and we LOVE IT! We have even driven all the way there just to eat and come home!

I have been to Denny's upstate, and it was terrible.
For some reason--the Denny's up north just aren't the same as the Denny's down south.
I spent many nights hanging at Denny's when I was in college in South Carolina....and the food was always good. I always wonder why north of the Mason-Dixon line, the Denny's stink.

When I lived in Florida we used to go to a Village Inn but that has to be about 20 years ago.

LOL I was just watching Cleveland Brown,and he came downstairs into the kitchen in the morning and said "bacon, cheese, eggs... smells like a Dennys in here without the old man stink." lol too true

I wasn't impressed - I ordered the pancake puppies - looked like hush puppies/fried balls of pancake dough....
well, my b/f got and ate his double cheese burger before they came out. I told the waitress to take them off the order. She did and brought them anyway to go. THEY WERE THE WRONG ONES. I ordered choc chip and they were plain.
THen she was telling us that it was day and its better at night. She was so scattered and was running around sweating. Um, ita was 9:30 PM.
IHOP here we come.
