Pets are NOT disposable!
DH's friend's Dad adopted 2 kittens in December. Now he decided he "doesn't want them anymore" because they keep him up at night playing.
So what does he do? PUTS THEM OUTSIDE!
DH's friend comes home to find them hanging out near his Dad's garage, scrawny and hungry.
I adopted a kitten and she climbed my curtains and ruined an expensive sofa. Was I less than thrilled? Yes! But she is my PET and I made a commitment to her when I adopted her that I take SERIOUSLY!
UGH, I am fuming right now. Yes, I am preggo and so I am extra sensitive, but some people just should NOT be allowed to do something like that without some kind of consequence.
Anyway, would anyone like to rehome 2 kitties?
I am upstate but traveling to LI next weekend and would be willing to bring said kitties. I will try to post pics.

I'd find out were he got them from and bring them back. Let someone else who wants them get them!

Isn't it against the law to abandon your animals?
I hope they get good homes very soon

Re: Pets are NOT disposable!
do they have to go together? Is either of them male? My DH is completely set on a maine coon but I can try pleading again since i cannot seem to find a male maine coon kitten to rescue. My kitty pounces on me at 3am to come play with it totally annoying but I would never throw her outside

that pisses me off seriously. What a freaking A HOLE. People keep doing this with cats like this is okay to do. Then you have people complain about having packs of cats roaming around - well perhaps people didn't toss out their pets constantly this wouldn't be an issue.

Re: Pets are NOT disposable!
I HATE THIS !! Why did they bother getting a pet in the first place!! A co-worker of my DH had a dog a few months back & was constantly complaining that it was too much work & hey didn't have time to play with it & they thought maybe the baby was allergic blah blah blah so they gave the dog away....Well about 2 weeks later they go & get another dog. *** people!!!
