right ovary in hiding!!
Hi girls! I just started my IVF cycle for month april and just came out of my CD2 bloodwork and sonogram. When the dr was doing the sonogram, she was having trouble finding my right ovary and said it was hidden behind my bowel. How embarrasing! Has this happened to anyone? So now, I only heard she said I have two follicles on my left side and each measuring over 10? Isn't having 2 follicles kind of low? I'm starting my 450 gonal F injection tonight. I hope my body will respond to the drug! Ahhhhh....so nervous about the needle!!

I had that happen all during my first ivf cycle right thru the day of ER... At first it was my right ovary hiding then my left and finally when i got to ER, they said that there were organs in the way and they could only get one egg out.. the rest they left in me. I just had a talk with my re yesterday and said if only one egg was able to be retrieved that the rest of the eggs should have been converted to an iui.. please discuss this option with your re. I would hate for you to spend all the money like i did to have so much problems..
Good thing is my one egg did make it to be fertilized and was 8 cell grade 2 on transfer but due to my age... i should have had more than one transfered.

One of my ovaries was always harder to see than the other and they would have to push down really hard to see it

I have to go back on Saturday for my Day 5 bloodwork and sonogram. Hopefully they'll be able to see my left AND right side!

This has always been the case with me when I cycled. Don't worry--- as you stim your ovary will get larger w/ follies and by ER day they'll have no problem seeing it.

Oh man..i totally forgot that medication will make my ovaries enlarged! I was just on the phone complaining to my husband that I feel so bloated from my period!! I guess I should get used to this bloated feeling!!
