when are you coming down and is this for business or a vacation? do you want to be near the Mall or are you ok with being a little further out?
Just trying to get a sense of what you are looking for to target it better for you.

Thanks ladies,..
My sister has to go to the Smithsonian Museum. I wanted to walk around see the sights. However, the hotels in DC are crazy expensive. So I would love to stay in DC or somewhere close, since we will be driving down maybe it could be close the the Metro.

Georgetown Inn - not near a metro stop
ALL NEXT TO METRO STOPS 1. Mariott opposite the zoo in Woodley Park, DC 2. Embassy Suites in Friendship Heights, DC/Chevy Chase, MD 3. Sheraton in Bethesda, MD

If you stay on the metro , the red line is the most convenient. In MD, Bethesda and Silver Spring are good places to look for hotels.

The Marriott in Crystal City is right above a Metro Stop.

we usually stay at the Embassy Suites right across the street from King Street station in Alexandria. Also, Old town Alexandria is a great place to walk around and shop/eat
