Does it definitely mean you O'd when..
you get CM?
I was going to try temping since I heard that thats the only way to tell for sure that you O'd. But if CM means you defintely O'd then I won't bother.

No..I don't think so. I think the only way to tell if you REALLY O is to have a doctor test...even OPK's can't really tell if you O...temping is a really good indicator though...

Re: Does it definitely mean you O'd when..
Not really!
The only way to know 100% if you Oed would be by going to the dr.
OPKs help tell you when you're going to O.
Temping helps tell you when you already Oed
Checking CM helps tell you around when you're going to O as well.

Oh, OK, how does a Dr test?
The dr. can test your progesterone levels at a certain point your luteal phase. If you O'd, progesterone should be within a specific range.

No. EWCM shows up (typically) before O, but the fact that it's there doesn't mean that you're definitely going to ovulate. The only way to confirm O is with regular temping or with bloodwork.

No. I've had CM and even PEAK readings on my CBEFM and still had an annovulatory cycle. OPK's only detect the surge, they don't tell you if you actually ovulate and the CM is an indicator you *might* ovulate but it's not a guarantee.
