My constant dilemma...
I love and appreciate food.
I thoroughly enjoy cooking and baking.
I am trying to lose the last 15ish lbs of my 47 lb pregnancy weight.
I have literally thousands of recipes saved, just waiting to be tried.
What's a girl to do?

Re: My constant dilemma...
Go back to school to become a professional chef and cook for other people You can sample the dishes you cook and not eat a whole portion and still get to cook a lot

Re: My constant dilemma...
I could've written this. Add in the 3 older children I have at home...I can't even get to the gym!
I still cook. I enjoy it. Hopefully when summer gets here I can exercise more.
I feel your pain.

Re: My constant dilemma...
Oh I know this problem well! The age old cooking woman problem... you want to enjoy life, but it's so awful still having weight to lose!
I like to think of this way... if you can cut out 100 calories a day for an entire year, you can lose 10 lbs, just like that!
I have no self control, but I try to just eat a little less than I usually would. That way you get the taste and can enjoy it but you're saving some calories.

Re: My constant dilemma...
Im skinny & I cook alot!! I just eat fruit for breakfast, very light lunch & enjoy my gourmet dinner. It''s not the best advice but like I said I'm skinny. If we eat heavy one day the next day i'll eat very light to compensate.

Re: My constant dilemma...
I'm not skinny but I do agree with one major thing a PP said... each meal is another opportunity to eat better. I don't believe in "diets" -- I believe in trying to be healthy as often as I can. Definitely don't dwell on a poor meal choice or a decadent decision one night... there's always tomorrow! Just don't say that every day!

If only it were that easy!
I could have written that myself before having a baby... I was like 105 soaking wet! But since having the baby it's been much harder to lose weight. The first 30 lbs came off in no time, but the rest is still hanging around - mostly in the belly area!
