Consult question
Hey ladies, I have a silly question do all RE's charge a fee for consultation? We made our first appt and they told us it will be $375, also does anyone know if that actually includes the exam? Just wondering. Its obviously money well spent just didn't know what the industry standard was. TIA

Re: Consult question
mine was covered by insurance also, i just had a copay. but i looked up my claim online and i can tell you for my dr it was $350 for the consult. there is a separate charge for radiology that same day, which i am assuming is the sono that they did. that was $340. if your dr is going to do a sono, i would ask if that's included in the $350 or if there is an additional charge. hth

Same here. I would check with your insurance to see if this is something they will pick up. If not, trips to the RE will become !
ETA: I just read your 2nd post. Does your insurance not cover any RE or the specific doctor you went to see?

Re: Consult question
our ins covers no RE, I have hypothyroidism so they will pick up some hormonal testing etc but anything infertility related is out. Even my clomid wasn't covered when I started doing medicated cycles with my reg GYN. I know alot of places have payment plans so I hope my future baby doesn't want to go to college
