m/c & DNC ladies...I have a ? for you...
how long after the DNC did u have to wait before you could TTC again? I haven't had my follow up yet and so we have not discussed anything besides "no sex for two weeks"
I really want to TTC ASAP...I have read many things...from waiting til your first AF return ...to 2 months, to 3 months...etc.n BUT I also found an online forum where ALOT of the ladies conceived within 2 weeks after DNC procedure even before they officially got AF.
Does anybody have an idea of statistics for viable pregnancies within different time spans after DNC / MC??

yea you can conceive 2 weeks after or a few weeks after the d and c. this happens because you can ovulate during that cycle. it's not usually recommended because your cervix may still be week from the d and c and your body hasn't healed yet from it... so it could potentially create other problems. I can say with fair certainty that most if not all doctors would NOT recommend trying within weeks after the d and c.
I think the most common is 2 cycles. It all depends on the type of mc you had and if it was your first, 2nd etc.

I was told to wait unitl after AF came but I didn't and 6 weeks after I had the d&c I took a HPT and BFP!!! I didn't have any problems with my pregnancy other than m/s and back pain.. I'm not saying that you should definetly try right away b/c everyone is different and so is everyone's body..HTH

Since I miscarried naturally and didn't need a D&C the dr told me we didnt have to wait. Of course I waited until my follow up appt and asked again and she said we could TTC right away, to be honest with you we BDed weeks after the m/c in hopes of getting a bfp but I was a little worried that it would be better to get AF first. I just got my first AF (4 weeks to the day that I stopped bleeding) and I can't wait for her to go away so we can really TTC again.
I think most drs will say to wait until AF comes.

this probrably sounds so silly...but DH & I were thinking we could try for a Capricorn baby since we are both Capricorns...but...that window is sooooo small right now.
MP start date would have to be on or before April 16 to get a due date of Jan 20th (last day in Capricorn sign)
we are totally not dead set on just having a capricorn...we just thought it'd be kinda cool. Esp. since M/C would have been due the week of our 2 year wedding anniversary.

I think the waiting is really about timing your pregnancy. For example a doctor really won't be able to know how far along you are w/out you getting you rperiod. That's why sometimes they say wait 2 cycles...
