Where were you? You should go to Japan, you can buy anything in vending machines in hotels!

That's funny! The one thing I hate is not being able to drink tap water (not in Europe) in certain countries. Better then ending up with giardia but still! All that plastic

Well when I studied in Italy, since it was a long time, I missed pretzels 
Random I know...but I could not find a bag of hard pretzels, I was in all my glory when we went to Germany for a weekend!

I forgot about all the vending machines. They are EVERYWHERE!
ETA: I didn't even stay in a hotel, but I would find them all over the place on random street corners.
