EARLY PRE SCREEN FOR DOWNS

I am going for this test tomorrow morning....

Was Dh able to be in the room for the sonogram portion?

How was this test?

The test is nothing. Just a sonogram done by a specialist and they prick your finger and take some blood.

My DH was with me. It was a more powerful machine than my OB has so we got some great photos (see profile - 11 weeks) and got to hear the heart beat too.

I had mine done on monday 11 w 3 days. They said mine was too early...why...I dont know but they did it. I didnt get a profile pics bc the baby wouldnt flip meanwhile she was banging my belly with her scope thing trying to flip it. The test is really harmless and yes your dh can stay with you. I personally recommend if you are in the 11 week range waiting til the 14 th week. My pics were pretty small...not sure if its bc the babies small or 11 weeks is small. The blood I wasnt pricked with a needle in the finger but rather pricked in the arm with a butterfly needle which was painless as well. Good Luck with your testing and update us.
