You can buy them at Petco and Petsmart but check online because you may find it cheaper on a website then in the stores.

Re: cat / doggie door
We bought ours at either Home Depot or Lowes. We're at both places so much, it all becomes a blur!
Our cats go trhough the opening easily enough. They weren't smart enough to push open the plastic piece that swings open, so we just kept that part off.

mine couldn't figure that out on the litter box...they looked at me with horror until I ripped it off
I do like the idea of the opening- esp on an inside door-

Re: cat / doggie door
We removed the swingy door part, so they can go in and out without having to push it open. It is great cause it allows the cats to get in/out, while keeping the dogs out!
I got our old one at Petco. This one I got from a NC Pet Store.

They sell them at Lowe's and Home Depot too, I think that is where we will be getting ours.

Re: cat / doggie door
We keep the litter boxes in our utility room - there is a door between the den and the utility room we didn't want to keep open, so we put in a cat door. When we first installed it, we took the door off and shoved them through it a few times. When we started to see them going in and out, we put the door on, and they used it with no issues at all.
I don't remember where we got it. Maybe home depot?
