When did you go out on Maternity Leave if you had an otherwise normal pregnancy???

My Due date is the 26th of this month and I plan on making my last day either the 22nd or the 23rd...Unless the little scallywag has other plans

My doctor took me out 2 weeks before my schedule c/s date. That was for medical reasons though.

i'll be going out 2 weeks before...
this friday is my last day  due date 6/3.
my dr. told me she would take me out anywhere from 0 to 4 weeks in advance, that it was totally up to me. i am actually taking a weeks vacation prior to officially being put on disability. i am going to ask my dr. to take me out starting 5/29 unless  decides to make an appearance before then!

I worked up until I went into labor. At the time with my son, I didn't get paid time off, and neither was my maternity leave that's why I only took 6 weeks. We couldn't afford anymore than that! 
I don't see the need to take off earlier unless you REALLY need to. A lot of women get stuff done, but a lot of times I've heard they get bored, and especially if you end up going late. The time would drag for me. It's a personal choice though!
