When we have kids someday, I plan to start eating at the table again.

well, Dh works late most nights , so its just me and Katie and we eat at the table.

On the weekends we all eat at the table as a family

every meal is eaten at the dining room table. we dont have an eat in kitchen so dining room it is. I have never eaten in front of the tv (unless I am sick or something). My mom never allowed it and I just never got into the habit and neither did DH.
When it is warm, we eat outside on the patio.

We have sat at our kitchen table TWICE in over a yr (& those times we had company)

I have a beautiful cherry wood coffee table, that was once a prized antique of mine. Now we throw a towel over it & eat every meal on it in front of the TV. It's such a routine I can't imagine ever doing it differently.

Kitchen counter/bar area.

Our dining room table is usually covered with junk at all times!!

We eat at the dinner table with the tv off, like I did growing up, that way we can talk and catch up. On occasions we "picnic" on the couch and watch tv or a movie.

Kitchen table always, it is just DH and I. We do have a tv in the kitchen that is always on though.
