Need some help from you ladies

Hey girls - I am going to the gyno this upcoming Tuesday. It is for my every 6 month visit which I had scheduled awhile ago. I am starting to feel worried that there is something wrong and I wanted to talk to her about my concerns with TTCing. I just don't know how much info I should tell her, if I should ask for certain tests or what questions to ask.

This is our fifth cycle trying. I still can't figure out if and when I'm ovulating. I tried used OPK's for the past two cycles but never got a positive, I haven't ever seen any EWCM but I do have creamy CM in the beginning of my cycle. I have been temping for the past two cycles and it isn't clear when I am ovulating. I def. have a thermal temp shift every cycle but my temp seems to gradually rise up or jump around for a few days until it stays high. My husband and I are both 28 - we got pregnant on accident when we were 23 and unfortunately had a miscarriage and I had to have a D and C. I have gained weight over the past few years and would love to loose like 30-40 lbs. I joined Weight Watchers but wasn't really seeing results so I went to my regular doctor a few weeks ago and my thyroid is under active so I started taking synthroid. (I don't know if any of this could be having an impact on my getting pregnant)

Here are my charts: http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/2b0179

I just don't know how much of the above I should share with my doctor. If you girls could help me out with questions to ask or anything else - I would really appreciate it!

Why WOULDN'T you share this with your MD? This is the person that when you DO conceive, you will be seeing all the time. They will be delivering your baby(ies). If you feel you can't trust them or they aren't good enough, then you need to find a new doctor. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon I ask my doctor the most stupid questions sometimes, but he is so supportive and really takes his time explaining anything I have a question on. I bet your MD woudl do the same if you allowed her. Chat Icon

You should definitely tell your dr. everything you just mentioned to us. You should feel comfortable enough with your dr to tell her all your worries. I know I also get a little shy and feel like my stupid may sound stupid to my dr but don't feel that way. One good thing to do is to write down all your questions before you go so this way, you won't forget.
If you are really worried, have your OB/GYN run some baseline blood test.
In terms of your thyroid issue, from what my dr. told me, it doesn't really effect my chance of fertility but there tends to be an elevated chance of misscarriage IF you are not being monitored and under medication.
GOod luck!

your thyroid can DEFINITELY have an impact on your fertility!! if you have an underactive thyroid it can make it really hard to get pregnant and/or stay pregnant.
i agree that it is very important to make sure your doc is keeping a close eye on your levels and thyroid meds, if you are hypothyroid.
