Anyone have thyroid issues??
After having some bloodwork done at the RE - turns out my TSH was high and he put me on synthroid. I would prefer to see an endo, particularly one that specializes in thyroid to get this under control and to make sure it isnt affecting my fertility.
Does anyone have a good endo they can recommend (preferably Suffolk)?
TIA

Re: Anyone have thyroid issues??
The RE is who caught that I was hypothroid and in turn referred me back to my PCP and I am being treated with Levothyroxine ( the generic for Synthroid)...Over the years my dose has changed quite a few times, but my thyroid seems to have stabilized now...
I have never been seen by an endo for hypothyroidism, only my pcp so I have no reccomendations for you, but wanted to wish you luck

Re: Anyone have thyroid issues??
I used to go to a wonderful endocrinologist, but he's deep in Nassau--Mineola. Dr. Shapiro. He's out of Winthrop. I had low-thyroid and took synthroid for several years. He's extremely thorough. He had been listed as Best Doctor by New York Magazine. I'm in suffolk, but I used to take the train in on my way to the city for work. His office is walking distance from the station.
