Is your EWCM always clear?

I'm [not so patiently] waiting to O. I usually don't O until CD20, but this month and last month the wet stuff started much earlier--CD10 this time! I think my body was gearing up because on the 12th I had EWCM, was feeling some cramping and then my body kind of backed down after that. I'm still "wet" but CM is more globby--a mix of clear and whitish it sometimes stretches. It kind of looks like runny snot (so sorry for that description ). No positive OPK yet.
I'm just not sure how to classify this. Is it watery, EWCM, creamy?

I was really my O date would move up this month. I'm ready to get the show on the road

It isnt always clear. Sometimes it's a little opaque. It's the consistency more or less that counts.

The first day or so that I have EWCM, it's kind of opaque. Then it becomes almost completely clear. Like the PP said, it's the consistency that counts. Does it stretch or is it just kind of globby?

It's weird--in the same day I'll check and it will stretch and other times it's more of a glob, but more slippery than sticky if that makes sense. Other months my EWCM was much easier to ID. Maybe I'm just transitioning right now?
